Thankfully our trip to the doctor's office was not warranted, but just to make me feel better, we did it anyway on Wednesday. She did a rapid strep test since his throat looked red, which came back negative. She said if the high temps and loss of appetite were to last 5-7 days, think influenza. However, by Thursday, Nolan had fully recovered! No more high fevers (103.5) and no more APAP or IBU (not that these bothered him; he slurped them up)! She said if it lasted only a few days, then it was some viral thing she has been seeing going around with really high temps and loss of appetite. Sounds like that is what he had. Now he has a mysterious rash on his belly and back??? Hopefully it was just the dogs since we played with them today. We'll see how he's doing tomorrow!
UPDATE: Rash is dun gone for now! But what a sleeper he has been. 4-5 hours worth of naps during the day and sleeping from 7:30pm-8:30am when mama wakes him! Should I do that??? Not real sure what is going on with him....he has never been a good napper!

SICK...AGAIN!
Good news: Monster man loves to dance (especially to "ring around the rosy...thank you Savannah!) And you would never know he is sick other than a lack of appetite.
Bad news: Little monster is sick...again! He has had a fever since Sunday night. I guess tomorrow morning we will be making a little trip to the d.o.c.t.o.r. We have already done two rounds of antibiotics in the last month; now what? Please pray for healing in his little body!
Side note: do you know the origin to "ring around the rosy"? This website http://www.snopes.com/language/literary/rosie.asp explains a possible connection that is false. "Ring around the rosy": a ring surrounding a little rosy bump was one of the first visible signs of infection ...an infection known as the Black Plague. "Pocket full of Posy": this referred to the belief that people thought they could protect themselves from "bad air" by keeping the "local air" sweet smelling with posies b/c they believed the Plague was borne on "foul air" and it helped to deal with the smell of death. "Ashes, ashes" referred to an imitation of sneezing in the end stages when there was internal bleeding to the point of death. Also they cremated the dead. Pretty gloomy, huh?
Maybe we should find another song?
Nah, he knows this one and we can make up another story.

BLESSED!
I am blessed.
I am blessed and loved by a Savior that loves me even though I fail Him.
I am blessed with a family I did nothing to deserve and they love me and I love them beyond the ends of the earth.
I am blessed!
That's all; just blessed.....but that's enough.
